The NOMA Foundation

Founded in 1976, The NOMA Foundation has been a resource provider leading to greater cultural diversity in architecture.

Our Mission

The NOMA Foundation serves as a philanthropic partner to the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), NOMA Students, NOMA Council, and other entities with intersecting interests. It emphasizes garnering resources for programs that embrace and elevate the cultural, historical, and educational impact of minorities in design and development. It is now a longstanding qualified 501(C)3 entity and a proud resource provider.

Our Vision

The NOMA Foundation would like to see a future with:

  • Increased illumination of the historical truths involving the plight, perseverance, accomplishments, and impact of black and brown architects in America.
  • Significantly greater educational access and scholarship availability for black and brown people, which is critically instrumental to boosting their opportunity to successfully pursue careers in architecture and related fields.
  • An elevated infusion of the cultural richness that black and brown architects bring to communities through their design and development talent.
